Adding Gmail Account to Outlook 2013 using IMAP

Here I noted, how do we configure a Gmail account in Outlook 2013. I hope that it will be very helpful to you.

1. At first we Sign in our Gmail Account in our explorer (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.,).

2. Click the Settings button in the upper, right corner of the window and select Settings from the drop-down menu.

3. On the Settings screen, click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.

4. Scroll down the IMAP access section and click Enable IMAP.

5. Then in the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.

6. Now we Sign out our Gmail and open the Outlook 2013 application. Here we select File menu.

7. In the Account Information page, select Add Account tab.

8. Now the Add Account dialog box is open and we select Manual setup or additional server types. Then click Next.

9. In the next page, select POP or IMAP and click Next.

10. Then the next page, on the Your Name column provide your name, Email Address column, provide our Gmail address. Then the Server information area select IMAP in the Account Type drop-down Menu. Provide the Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server respectively imap.googlemail.com and smtp.googlemail.com. Then in the Logon Information area, provide the Email Address and its Password.

Then click More Settings.

11. In the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box, select the Outgoing Server menu. Then tick the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box, and click the same settings as my incoming mail server.

12. Then select the Advanced menu.

13. In the Advanced menu, under the Server port numbers, Incoming server (IMAP) is 993, and the Outgoing server (SMTP) is 587. Then select SSL in Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu and select TLS in Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu. Then click OK.

14. Now in the Add Account page, click Next.

15. Now you can see the Test Account Settings progress. When the testing finish, then click Close.

16. Then the next page, click Finish.

Now you successfully configure your Gmail in your Outlook 2013. You can see your mails in Outlook Inbox.

How to get out of safe mode in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

If you find yourself stuck in safe mode using Windows 8, the most common answer given is to restart and your system will go back to normal mode. If this does not work, it is most likely that the start in safe mode box in your boot configuration is checked. Here is how to quickly uncheck the box.

1.  Using the microsoft window key in the bottom left portion of your keyboard, tab out of your start screen to your desktop.

2.  In the desktop screen, you will notice there is no start button in the lower left corner.  Even though there is no button, there is a hidden "poor man's" start menu.  Placing your cursor in the very bottom left corner of your desktop, right click on that corner.  It might take more than one click.  A menu of sorts pops up.  One of the options is the familiar "run"

3.  Left click on run.  When the box pops up ....type in msconfig then hit the enter key on your keyboard.

4.  A system configuration box will pop up with several tabs including one that says "boot"

5.  Select the boot tab and you will see a safe mode box that has a check mark in it.

6.  Uncheck the safe mode box and hit the apply or OK button.

7.  You will then see a restart button.  Click it to restart your computer.

8.  When your computer comes back up, sign in and you will now be in "normal mode"

Create Bootable Win-7 USB Drive Using Command Prompt

Plug in your Flash Drive:

First plug-in your flash drive to your USB port and and copy all the content to a safe location in your hard drive.

Run the Command Prompt as an Administrator:

To open command prompt, go to start menu and and search for CMD. Right click on it and select Run as Administrator to use it with admin rights.

Using the Diskpart Utility find the drive number of your Flash Drive:

To do so, type in the following command in the command prompt: DISKPART

• Running DISKPART will display the version of DISKPART you are running and the name of your PC.

• Type "list disk" to see a display of all your connected disk drives. Make a note of the number assigned to your Flash Drive.

Format the Flash Drive:

Execute the following list of commands one-by-one. Make sure you replace Disk 1 with the proper disk number from DISKPART.

Commands:

select disk 1

clean

create partition primary

select partition 1

active

format fs=NTFS QUICK

assign

exit

Make the Flash Drive bootable:

Use the bootSect utility that is shipped with windows 7. To do so

• Insert the Windows 7 DVD and note down the drive letter of the DVD drive. For this guide, the DVD drive is F: and the USB drive is H:.

• Navigate the directory where bootsect is found 

F:

cd f:\boot

• Use the bootsect to make the USB drive bootable. This updates the drive with BOOTMGR compatible code and prepares it to boot Windows 7.

bootsect.exe/nt60 H:

• Close the Command prompt window.

• Copy all files from the Windows 7 DVD to the formatted Flash Drive. The safest and the fastest way would be to use the Windows Explorer. Open the Disk, select everything and drag it into your Flash Drive. This could take a few minutes to copy.

• Finally we get the Bootable Windows 7 Flash Drive.

Backup your Android Mobile SMS, Call Log and Watsapp Messages

SMS Backup+ செயல்பட வேண்டுமானால் நீங்கள் உங்கள் gmail inbox இல் உள்ள IMAP என்னும் அணுகலை செயல்படுத்த வேண்டும். இதை செயல்படுத்த உங்கள் கணிப்பொறி உலாவியில் (Browser) உங்கள் Gmail ஐ open செய்ய வேண்டும். பின்னர் அதன் மேல் வலது மூலையில் உள்ள settings என்னும் icon ஐ கிளிக் செய்து கிடைக்கும் drop drown menu box இல் settings என்பதை தேர்வு செய்ய வேண்டும். இப்போது தெரியும் settings திரையில் Forwarding and POP/IMAP என்னும் tab ஐ தேர்வு செய்ய வேண்டும். அதில் IMAP Access என்னும் menu வில் Enable IMAP என்னும் option button ஐ தேர்வு செய்ய வேண்டும். அதுபோல மேலும் உள்ள தேர்வுகளை கீழ் காணும் திரையில் உள்ளதுபோல அமைத்து அமைப்புகளை save செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் SMS Backup+ என்னும் application ஐ android ஸ்டாரே இல் இருந்து தரவிறக்கம் செய்து உங்கள் mobile phone இல் நிறுவிக் கொள்ளவும்.

SMS Backup+ என்பது ஒரு Configurable Application ஆகும். இதை எவ்வாறு configure செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பதை பார்ப்போம். SMS Backup+ Application ஐ open செய்து கொள்ளவும். அதன் முதல் முக்கிய திரையில் Connect மற்றும் Auto Backup என்பனவற்றை டிக் செய்து கொள்ளவும். இதில் connect என்பதை கிளிக் செய்யும்போது அது நமது Gmail account உடன் இணையும். அதற்கான setting களை நாம் அமைத்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். அதுபோல ஆட்டோ backup என்பது ஓவொரு SMS மற்றும் Call Log ம் தானாகவே backup ஆகும். ஒருவேளை நாம் Auto backup என்பதை தேர்வு செய்யவில்லை என்றால் ஒவ்வொருமுறையும் நாமாக தான் backup செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

அதுபோல Auto Backup Settings இல் உள்ள Regular Schedule, Incoming Schedule, Required wifi மற்றும் 3rd Party integration போன்ற அமைப்புகளையும் நமது தேவைகேற்ப அமைத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

பின்னர் Advanced Settings --> Backup Settings என்பதை தேர்வு செய்து அதில் வரும் அமைப்புகளையும் நமது வசதிக்கேற்ப அமைத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். இதன் வழியாக நமது backup கள் நமது Gmail இல் ஒரு Folder ஆகவோ, அல்லது Subfolder ஆகவோ அமையுமாறு அமைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.

அதுபோல Restore Settings என்பதையும் நமது வசதிக்கேற்ப அமைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம். அனைத்து setting களும் முடிந்தவுடன் backup process ஆனது கீழ் கண்ட திரையில் உள்ளது போல தொடங்கும். நமது mobile phone இல் அதிக SMS களும், Call Log களும் இருப்பின் அவற்றின் அளவிற்கேற்ப backup process அதிக நேரம் எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும். இது முதன் முறையாக backup நடக்கும்போது மட்டும்தான்.

இந்த process முடிந்தவுடன் நமது Gmail ஐ open செய்து பார்த்தால் அதில் கீழ்கண்ட திரையில் உள்ளதுபோல Backup Folder கள் create ஆகி இருக்கும். அதற்குள் நமது Mobile phone இன் அனைத்து SMS களும், Call Log களும்  Backup ஆகியிருக்கும்.
